To assist the learner in distinguishing between marketing and sales
• To enable the learner to devise, execute, monitor and control the implementation of a marketing and sales plan
• To enable the learner to appraise how sales can complement marketing and vice versa
• To facilitate the learner in evaluating personnel performance through well-considered use of key performance indicators
• To assist the learner to develop the academic and vocational language, literacy and numeracy skills related to Sales and Marketing Management through the medium of the indicative content
• To enable the learner to exercise substantial personal autonomy and responsibility
