Fashion Design (Beginners)

Course outline 

You will learn the skills of researching, designing, pattern cutting and how to produce and construct initial design ideas through to a finished full collection included with 3D prototype(s). Fashion design is an expression of colour, culture, values, materials, garment construction etc. Considering this you will work from your own set brief, encouraging you to create and to explore innovative forms with a strong focus on experimentation, improvisation, and formal innovation. This course will orientate you to the practices and knowledge base needed to understand fashion design through concept development and research methods. It is ideal for students, designers and professionals interested in the fashion industry and good quality design. This is a hands-on creative course to understand the role and potential future roles of the fashion designer and developer within the industry.
