QQI Tourism with Business Level 5, Code 5M5011
This course focuses on the necessary skills required for all of the sectors in the Tourism and e-Travel Industry. During this course the student will develop the training skills needed in both practical and theoretical areas. These include travel agency, airline crew and reception, guiding, tour repping and other areas of the tourism and travel industry including cruise liners.
These skills acquired on the course are required in order to succeed in these exciting Tourism Sectors.
Students can also avail of an opportunity to travel overseas on the course as part of work placement and in conjunction with the European Partnership scheme run in St. John’s Central College.
Leaving Certificate (LC Established, LCVP or LCA) or equivalent
For mature applicants appropriate experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
One year full time with progressing to QQI Level 6.

Participants will be required to undertake 10 days of work placement in a relevant location. The College will assist participants in identifying suitable placements.
