QQI Architectural Technology and Design Level 6, Code 6M4989
This course is aimed at students who wish to pursue a career in Engineering, Building Services Management, Industrial Design or Architecture related areas. Students will use the most relevant BIM (Building Information Modelling) software for these industries, including Revit.
The course also aims to develop an understanding of Sustainable/Green Building Technology and Design, introduces Building Energy Rating (BER), the associated software (DEAP) and other related topics.
The course provides people with the relevant skills and knowledge to allow them to adjust to a changing building industry.
Learners may apply to a range of Higher Education Institutions (including C.I.T.) through the Higher Education Links Schemes.
QQI Level 5 Award in Architectural Technology or in a related area is required.

Participants will be required to undertake 10 days of work placement in a relevant location. The College will assist participants in identifying suitable placements.
