Overview

This course encourages you to progress from being animal carers to being supervisors, managers and proprietors or having other roles of responsibility within the varied animal care and science sectors. Our new approach to course delivery means that you can tailor the course specifically to your area of interest by choosing the subjects most suitable to the industry you wish to work in. At level 6 you participate in more self-directed learning with the support of knowledgeable, experienced staff and you combine opportunities for gaining advanced knowledge and progressive personalised skills thorough a mixture of college based learning and practical work placements.

For entry to Level 6 a full QQI Level 5 Award in Animal Care, is required.

One-year full time

Work Placement/Experience

Learners on the Animal Science and Management course are encouraged to continue participating in work experience as such opportunities and experiences are invaluable and can on occasions lead to employment.
